The Ubud area caters primariliy to two distinct groups of visitors and expatriate residents. Very visible, vocal and well known are those mainly attracted by the one of a kind village itself. A similarly large but less visible group is drawn more to the surrounding hinterland's spectacularly scenic rivers and valleys. • A visit or two to the coast for shopping, Waterbom or the like is usually on the agenda for families on holiday in the Ubud area. Bali Gita's location makes such outings convenient and pleasant as it saves 20 minutes on the Ubud town drive to Seminyak and the route is predominantly through pictureque ricefield country.
